Let’s Petition to Pull Coke’s Corporate Charter
“Coca-Cola argues that there is not a scientific link between obesity and sugary drinks.”
OK I’ve had it with this shit. I’m at Netroots Nation and really busy, but can someone start a petition campaign to just fucking pull this company’s corporate charter? There is no reason We, the People should tolerate this. One more company that is harming our health, and then trying to use the tobacco-company, climate-denier “doubt is our product” strategy to keep the profits flowing.
Enough!
It’s time to just say “enough” to this. Stop harming people, and don’t try to pollute the public discourse and trick people and lie to people and all the other corporate PR games.
I know we won’t succeed — I mean, we can’t really pull their charter, but we can get people thinking about who is supposed to be in charge. We can raise people’s awareness that We, the People are supposed to be in charge, and the REASON that we enabled corporations to exist in the first pace was to serve us — why else would we have done that? And we are supposed to be setting the laws and the playing field, not having them come back and trick us and harvest us.
So let’s put THEM on the defensive this time, let’s see if we can get a million signatures on a petition to pull their corporate charter. We, the People say that we do not want companies harming people and then pulling this kind of shit when they get caught and the public tries to do something to stop them. Enough!

Good luck with that. While you are doing that I will just sit back and enjoy my refreshing soft drink. Thanks Coca Cola for quenching my thirst and pissing this guy off.
